About the Event
Be transported to the West coast of Africa with Chef Kuukua of Asempe Kitchen, and a native of Ghana, West Africa, as she instructs you in making traditional West African dishes! Sip on a cocktail of your choice from Salt City Bar while you cook, or on the purple-red hibiscus-ginger cocktail infused with spicy cloves and grains of selim and sweetened with cane sugar brewed by Chef Kuukua. This hands-on class includes all ingredients, and your use of all cooking utensils needed and an apron, as well as Chef Kuuka's instruction. All guests of this workshop must purchase a ticket. Masks must be worn except while eating or drinking. Workshop will be held in Salt City Market's teaching kitchen. Salt City Market has it's own private parking lot for guests too!
Take home your own beautiful hand-sewn aprons made by Chef Kuukua and her partner - available at a $5 discount for $15. A spice blend and a hot sambal blend are also available for sale.
