About the Event
Join us for a Kinusaiga Workshop at Willow Rock Brewing Company - Cicero! During this workshop your host, Ashe of Forged from Ashe Studios, will teach you the basics of Kinusaiga (pronounced “key-new-sigh-ga”), a modern Japanese art form that transforms fabric scraps into rich, dimensional artwork that resembles a quilt or fabric "painting". Ashe will teach you how to layer and tuck fabric into grooves on a foam board using vibrant fabrics, texture and traditional no-sew fabric inlay techniques to create a textile art masterpiece! Your completed piece will measure 8x8 in. Choose from a variety of templates!
This event is also hosted in collaboration with Magpie Custom Creations, Ashe's studio neighbor in the Cortland Corset Building.
This event will be either in the "green space" (in the room inside the main entrance) or the greenhouse at Willow Rock - you'll see us! You're welcome (and encouraged!) to purchase food…
