About the Event
Come take a mindful walk together to explore the beautiful fall foliage in the Syracuse area! We will take a short trail walk through the newly acquired land trust which has spectacular views of the Onondaga Hill area. This will be a great event for the whole family! We suggest ages 8+.
Our instructor Mary will provide a meditative walk ending with a lesson on how to paint a watercolor leaf. Being that we will be outside and exposed to the elements we recommend dressing in layers and wearing comfortable clothing you can move in with appropriate footwear. We recommend using sunscreen or bug spray and bringing a blanket or camp chair to sit on while painting. We also will be wearing masks and practicing social distancing. Check out more information about the preserve and location here: https://cnylandtrust.org/preserve/pleasant-valley-preserve/
Location is across the road from map location (there is a map on their website and signage at the site). It is located on Pleasant Valley Road in between South Kasson and Cedarvale, on the opposite side as the Cedarvale Maple Syrup Company. It is about 0.3 miles west of Cedarvale Road. You will find a walk-in entrance via a gravel road on the south side of Pleasant Valley Road. Please park at beginning of gravel driveway of Preserve. Rain date is the following Sunday 10/18, same time and place.
This event will be hosted by Mary of Sugar Moon Artistry.
