About the Event
Join us for a Shibori Dye Workshop at Buried Acorn! Shibori is a centuries-old dyeing technique that uses different folding and binding techniques to resist-dye fabric in different patterns. The natural dye from the indigo plant is used to produce the beautiful, rich blue color you see on shibori-dyed fabrics. During this workshop, you will learn the basics of shibori and some simple designs and patterns. Then you'll dye your own set of 2 - 28 x 28" tea towels.
Please Note: We will provide aprons and gloves but this dye can stain, so we recommend wearing shoes/clothes that can get messy.
This event will be out on the patio area at Buried Acorn, or inside the taproom if the weather is bad!
You're welcome (and encouraged!) to purchase beverages and food at Buried Acorn and indulge during our class. Check out their menu here.
All guests must purchase a ticket. Your ticket includes all of your materials and instruction. We will update you with any changes via email before this event.
